I can now hear you, Maman.
I can now hear your voice,
inviting us for dinner.
We've come this far.
My hands are worn out, bleeding.
My ramrod is broken.
And I can still hear those cannibals behind the barricades.
Pen, I want to write about our situation,
but I can't seem to find the words.
I can only see Jean turning grey, bleeding,
talking to himself.
How can I tell them to bury my body next to Maman...
Or how can I tell if there's an end?
If I had to live my life
exactly as I have...
again,
and again,
and again...
I would not run.
Nor change the path.
I would love to meet you
for the nth time...
To hear your voice
tell me about your day...
the little joys,
the tiny annoyances,
the meals you love,
and the ones you'd never try again...maybe.
To see you light up
when you talk about the animals you find cute,
as if the world were still gentle
and full of wonder...
I would sit with you,
listen,
and love you quietly,
every time...
forever.
I am savoring this last, old slice of bread I bought, for tomorrow, I'll be out.
I can feel the mountain's gentle wind caressing me with its soothing breeze.
I am afraid it's near, for I can no longer feel my hands.
How unfortunate...I haven't had a good bite.
"When was the last time I had a snack this good?"
He chuckled and smiled as he lost the ability to move his jaw
Jaz peaked at 5,467m above. Now, he rests there forever.
"Theodore, can you feed the dogs?" asked Melinda.
"No," Theodore replied.
"Why not?"
"I have no idea, honey. I just don't feel like it."
"Oh, Theodore, you have been like this for weeks now. You even forgot to greet the kids when they came home from school."
"Honey, I know, I'm sorry," Theodore replied while staring at nothing, completely blank, murmuring.
Melinda stared, tears slowly sliding. "Oh, Theodore."
It all starts with Finn and Jake on their way home, talking about how tight their adventure was.
Then, Finn fell into an unnoticeable hole, hidden by the bushes.
Jake also fell after rushing forward and bumping into a hanging branch.
Finn fell through the ceiling of the castle and landed on a normal sized pie (which is massive).
Turns out, he's in the Huge Kingdom, ruled by a huge king... Of course.
Jake, on the other side of the hole, fell into the chute of 7718... Yes, that's a name. 7, for short.
7 calmed Jake down and told him Jake might have been falling for weeks or even months unconsciously.
After Jake calmed down, 7 explained how he had fallen into the hole and had been falling ever since.
One of my favorite part is when 7 said:
"Sometimes walnuts fall through the hole, and sometimes rain... and I guess that was enough."
7 also mentioned that for a long time, he had been waiting for a rescue, but that was hella boring.
So... he got into playing cards by himself, and he really loves it.
7's situation kind of reflects the absurd condition, just imagine being stuck in an endless fall,
he doesn't fight the absurdity of his situation, instead he embraces it, he just rolls with it.
Just you, some walnuts and a deck of a cards.
While I was jogging, I saw a middle aged man,
also jogging, carrying a sick stick.
The stick looked like it had just been pulled from the ground.
I wonder how that cool dude felt,
playing with the stick while running.
You swam hundred, maybe thousands,
of miles upstream,
Fighting strong currents for a single dream.
As your body weakens and starts to slow,
You keep moving, because it's all you know.
With every leap, you carry life's plan,
A journey of sacrifice for the next lifespan.
You are a beautiful fish, and now you'll be at peace.
